Farewell party held at DAV College

BATHINDA: A farewell party was organised at DAV College, Bathinda, for the students of Class XII.

A farewell party was organised at DAV College, Bathinda, for the students of Class XII. The hall of the college reverberated with enthusiasm and gusto of the students. The programme commenced with a speech, delivered by Prof Monika Bhatia, coordinator. She wished the students good luck and said the students should make their parents as well as alma mater proud by attaining success in whatever they do.

A welcome song was presented by the students of Class XI, followed by cultural programmes presented by students in the form of dances, songs, ramp walk and many other fun-filled games and programmes.

The Miss Farewell award went to Ajwaran Kaur (Arts) and Mr Farewell award to Amrinder Singh (Commerce).

The principal, Dr Sanjeev Sharma, wished the students good luck for their future endeavours and stated that hard work, perseverance and dedication were the requisites for treading ahead. Exhorting on the importance of ethics, he said, “To show respect to our parents is our first and foremost duty which can make us face any difficult situation in life,”.

The vice-principal, Prof Varesh Gupta, blessed the students. Prof Kuldeep Kaur conducted the stage. Prof Satish Grover, Prof Harjinder Singh and Prof Anita were the judges. The winners were given prizes. The students of Class XI gave gifts to the outgoing students.

Prof Nirmal Singh presented a vote of thanks and wished the students success on embarking on a new journey in life. Also present on the occasion were teachers Prof Satish Grover, Prof Monika Bhatia, Prof Tina, Prof Kuldeep Kaur, Prof Sonia Mangla, Prof Sukhwinder Kaur, Prof Kamala Rani Bansal, Prof Shailja, Prof Anita Rani, Prof Amit Kumar Singla, Prof Kulwinder Kaur, Prof Amit Sharma, Prof Nirmal Singh, Prof Pawanpreet Singh, Prof Sanjiv Puri, Prof. Neha, Prof Harmandeep Kaur, Prof Daisy Mehta, Prof Gurmeet Kaur, Prof Meenakshi Jindal, Prof Shalu Gupta, Prof Babita, Prof Urvashi, Prof Sawarnjeet Kaur, Prof Navrozpreet Kaur and Prof Kamlesh Rani.
