Fuel price hike: Cong protests at villages

MALOUT: Against the escalating prices of fuel, Congress leaders of Malout on Friday lodged protests in various villages.

Against the escalating prices of fuel, Congress leaders of Malout on Friday lodged protests in various villages.

Congress workers were led by their Malout block president Nathu Ram Gandhi.

Jaspal Singh, an aide of local MLA Ajaib Singh Bhatti, said, “We are lodging protest at the villages against the policies of the Central Government and making people aware of how they had been befooled.”

He added that the protest would continue in future as well. “Our MLA has told us to cover all villages,” said Jaspal.
