Bathinda: A girl jumped into one of the lakes of Guru Nanak Dev Thermal Plant (GNDTP) to commit suicide. However, she was saved by a passerby, who dived to save her. Volunteers of an NGO are counselling the girl. She has not said anything and refused to go to a hospital. Her condition is out of danger. Despite many drowning and suicide incidents in the Sirhind canal and lakes, the district administration is yet to initiate any step in this regard.
