I-Day, Janmashtami celebrated in city schools

BATHINDA: Independence Day was celebrated with great zeal and patriotic fervour at various schools in the city. The Little Kingdom Nursery School today celebrated Independence Day on the school campus.

Independence Day was celebrated with great zeal and patriotic fervour at various schools in the city.

The Little Kingdom Nursery School today celebrated Independence Day on the school campus. The function started with a prayer song. The young ones were dressed up as freedom fighters with each of them holding the national flag in their hand, they were made to march in the school lawns, for a ceremonial parade with the principal taking the salute. It was followed by the teachers singing patriotic songs like ‘Rang de basanti’ and ‘Hum Hindustani’ and the children chanting slogans like ‘Bharat mata ki jai’ and ‘Jai Hind’. A two-minute silence was observed in memory of unknown soldiers who gave their life for the freedom of the country.

The principal of the school, Shuchita Grover, conveyed good wishes and greetings to all students and to their families on the occasion of the 70th Independence Day. While addressing the kids, she talked about the importance of Independence Day and how our country got Independence from the Britishers on August 15, 1947.

Radiant Kids Academy

The Radiant Kids Academy, Adarsh Nagar, Bathinda, celebrated Janmashtami and Independence Day with zeal and enthusiasm. Children dressed up as Lord Krishna and Radha were looking like Little Angels and Goddesses. Some children were dressed up as Freedom Fighters reminding of those Patriots who gave their lives for their country. The kids were caught up in the spirit of patriotism and godliness feelings which was amazing and one could feel the presence of God and Patriotism in celebrations. Honorable Principal Deepika addressed little flowers regarding the importance of this festive occasion.

The Millennium School

The Millennium School, Bathinda, today has set new benchmarks by creating the world records of making a Tricolour Ribbon Sandwich by most students for 71st Independence Day in the presence of the expert team members of The Unique World Records Limited.

In this sandwich making activity 700 students participated and prepared a tri color sandwich. The school Principal, Sangeeta Saxena addressed the school and congratulated the students and teachers on this achievement. She also extended her heartfelt gratitude to the team members of the Unique World Record Limited for their presence.

Saint Paul’s High School

Independence Day was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm in Saint Paul’s High School Bathinda today. Students presented a panorama of cultural items like beautiful patriotic group song ‘Bharat Humko Jaan Se Pyara Hai’ and a fusion group dance on various patriotic songs.

On this auspicious occasion, academy director R Lawrence inspired the students to envisage and strive to create the dream India which would be actually free from all the social evils. Students’ fervour and dynamism in the entire event was a proud moment for all.

SSD Women’s Institute of Technology

Jashan- E –Aazadi 2017 was celebrated on 12 August in SSD Women’s Institute of Technology. All the students of MBA and BBA participated enthusiastically. Event consisted of competitive quiz related to slogans, images of freedom fighters, patriotic songs and audio-visual clippings. Dance and singing performances on patriotic songs were also given by audience.
