BATHINDA: The police today booked family members of a woman in Rampura for firing gun shots at her for marrying without family’s consent.

The police today booked family members of a woman in Rampura for firing gun shots at her for marrying without family’s consent.

In her complaint to the police, Rajdeep Kaur, wife of Sukhmandar Singh, from Selbrah village, stated that Leela Singh of Jagjitpura and Jagjit Singh of Buggar village fired gun shots at her.

She informed the police that after marrying Sukhmandar without the consent of her family members she was made a target by them. The members of her family wanted to kill her when she entered the wedlock with Sukhmandar at a court.

The police said a case had been registered in this regard against the two family members. — TNS
