Lehra thermal plant engineers to intensify stir over demands

BATHINDA: Engineers of Guru Hargobind Thermal Power Plant, Lehra Mohabbat, yesterday held a meeting to discuss the alleged indifferent approach of the government towards their demands.

Bathinda, December 12

Engineers of Guru Hargobind Thermal Power Plant, Lehra Mohabbat, yesterday held a meeting to discuss the alleged indifferent approach of the government towards their demands.

In the meeting chaired by JE Pushwinder Singh, it was decided that they would not take any new item from the store of thermal plant from January 12 to 18. Employees of the thermal plant are seeking enhancement in their wages, besides promotion.

Pushwinder Singh said, “Our demands have not been fulfilled by the state government and that is why we have decided not to take any item from the store.” Harwinder Singh Chopra said, “We held this meeting on a call given by the state committee of the thermal power plant. The government should fulfil our demands so that we may discharge our duties as usual.”
