In his total 10 minutes speech, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Bhagwant Mann, also the party’s candidate from Jalalabad Assembly seat from where Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal is contesting the elections, today claimed that February 4, the day on which Punjab will go to polls, will be observed as ‘Freedom Day’ and a state holiday for the next five years. He claimed that on this day, Punjab would get freedom from ‘Chitta’ and its suppliers besides the Congress and SAD (B).
Mann accused Captain Amarinder Singh and the Badals of being in cahoots while fighting the elections. He also challenged Captain Amarinder Singh to fight the elections from Jalalabad saying he would not do so as he did not want to contest against his ‘Bhateeja Sukhbir.’ “Eh sab andro andri mile hoye ae. Mai pehla hi kiha c, intelligence di report c mere kol, ke Captain lambi to larru.”
Mann, who reached the AAP stage in Bathinda at 9.45 pm, thrilled the crowd with his 10 minute speech. “ On March 11, the results would be declared. In the next two-three days, the oath-taking ceremony would be held and on March 16 , Majithiye, Tote, Maluke, Noni, Moni, Ghoni, Bhoni, Raju, Kaju, Rozy, Banty Santy, all will be jailed. They had formed gangs with some of them looking for transport business, some for sand and others for property and other businesses.”
Bhagwant, however, claimed that the leaders of SAD (B) and Congress have names like Raju, Rozy, Noni and Moni, that are names of Kulfiwalas (street ice-cream hawkers).
Meanwhile, Mann received a mild injury in his shoulder while making his way at the crowded venue. While returning to his car from the stage in Bathinda, city Bhagwant Mann fell down after shaking hands with one of his supporters and fan.
