Mansa admn gears up to provide food at Rs10

The administration today conducted the trail run of the ‘Sanjhi Rasoi’ scheme under which people will get hygienic and nutritious food at Rs 10.

Deputy Commissioner Parampal Gupta himself inspected the trail run. Praising the arrangements made for offering the food under the scheme, the DC announced that the scheme will officially be inaugurated on May 22 at 1pm.

Elaborating on the direction given to the cooks and officials, who have been given the responsibility of the scheme, the DC said, “The focus of the scheme should be providing food prepared under hygienic conditions. Maintaining the quality of food and availability of potable water should be the priority,” he said.

The DC added that there should also be adequate seating arrangement for the public where the food would be served.

Directing the officials to complete the arrangements for starting the scheme on May 22 and sustaining it effectively, the DC inspected the kitchen where the food will be prepared.

He also appreciated the quality and taste of the food on offer.

Close to 350 persons ate the food on the occasion.

Mansa SDM Kala Ram Kansal, Assistant Commissioner Om Prakash, Balwinder Singh and other officials were also present during the trial run.
