Bathinda, February 16

The Mansa Police today recovered more than 50 narcotic tablets from the house of a woman who was facing trial under the NDPS Act and was out on bail. However, the police did not arrest anyone from the house of the accused woman maintaining that someone might have thrown the tablets in her house in Bhenibagha village.

The police claimed that a packet of narcotic tablets was recovered from the backside of the refrigerator in the house, but it was lying in a manner that raised suspicion.

Sarabjit Singh Cheema, CIA In-charge, Mansa, said, “The woman is an accused in a drug case and is out on bail. I do not remember about the case she is facing trial, but it seems that the packet of tablets was thrown by someone else at the backside of the refrigerator in the house. We are investigating the case and will take action. The case will be registered soon after we complete the preliminary inquiry.”
