An unidentified person has been booked for attempting to rape a Class VIII student in Bhucho.

As per information, the nine-year-old girl was returning after buying some material from a variety store in a street. A person, on the pretext of asking the address of the government school, took her to the school, where he allegedly tried to rape her behind the room built at the gate of the school.

The incident came to light when the girl narrated it to her parents after reaching home. She also alleged that the accused beat her up and even threatened her that if she told anyone about it, he would again assault her.
