PAU all set to organise Kisan Mela tomorrow

BATHINDA: Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) is organising Kisan Mela at its Regional Research Station here on March 28.

Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) is organising Kisan Mela at its Regional Research Station here on March 28. All arrangements have been made for the fair.

Dr Paramjit Singh, Director, Regional Research Station, Bathinda, said the theme of the fair is “Sow the PAU recommended varieties, adopt agriculture alliance works, better marketing and maintain records”.

He said the seeds of improved varieties of different kharif crops, vegetable crops and fruit plants, including new varieties, recommended by the PAU would be sold at the fair.

Dr Baldev Singh Dhillon, Vice-Chancellor, PAU, Ludhiana, will preside over the function.

An exhibition will be organised by various departments of the PAU and other allied concerns. Experts of various subjects from the PAU will share the research findings with the farmers. Besides, queries of the farmers will be addressed by them.

Dr Paramjit appealed to the farmers to participate in the fair along with their families.
