Proposal for constructing girls’ hostel invited

Bathinda, April 18

District Welfare Officer (DWO) Sardool Singh has asked the authorities of Government Rajindra College to submit a proposal for constructing a girls' hostel for the facilitation of SC/ST category students under the Centrally-sponsored Babu Jagjivan Ram Chhatrawas Yojana.

This is not the first time that the state government has invited the proposal for constructing hostels for the SC/ST students from the college.

Rishi Raj, hostel superintendent of the college, said that in 2007 and 2012, we had sent a proposal to the authorities for constructing a double-storey hostel. Mukesh Aggarwal, principal of the college, said, “We have sent the proposal to the Director of Public Instructions and will also forward the same to the DWO.” — TNS
