Bathinda, February 14

Unidentified persons today stole Rs 5 lakh cash from Fortuner car (PB03-AE-0077) by breaking the window pane of the middle seat.

The police from the Civil Lines colony police station reached the spot and started investigation.

Vijay Kumar Jindal, a resident of Ganesha Basti, works as a private contractor. He has stated to the police that he came to Paradise Cloth house on the Bathinda Goniana road near Pukhraj cinema at 7.15 pm to meet someone.

He said when he reached near the car to go back at 8 pm, he found the window pane of the car broken and a bag inside it was missing, which carried Rs 5 lakh and some documents.

DSP (City 2) Gurpreet Singh and SHO Kuldeep Singh Bhullar reached the spot and started investigation. The police also found some clue from CCTV footage. A case has been registered against unidentified accused.
