Safety training programme held at GHTP

Our desire and endeavour is to ensure the safety of each person and machine. These views were expressed by Sahil Goyal, assistant director (factories, Department of Labour Welfare, Punjab Government) at a one-day safety training programme conducted at Guru Hargobind Thermal Plant, Lehra Mohabbat, on Wednesday.

This training programme was presided over by Kuldeep Garg, chief engineer/O&M, GHTP, who while addressing the audience, detailed out the importance of safety at work. He further told that safety in fact was a subject, which can never be ignored.

At GHTP, all the workers and staff are being provided necessary personal protective equipment for maintaining their health, he said. The hazardous materials are disposed of safety and comprehensive medical check-up is being conducted regularly. In this seminar, special faculty was invited to deliver lectures.
