Members of the action committee of the Solid Waste Plant Hatao Morcha today alleged that SAD-BJP candidate from Bathinda (Urban) Sarup Chand Singla was politicking over the shifting of the plant from its existing position. Jeet Singh Joshi, convener of the morcha, said the government had accepted the demand of the committee, but it had not been shifted till date.

He said the people of the area were in a fix over the shifting of the plant as the state government’s approval was not enough for shifting.

He said NGT’s approval and JITF company’s financial implications were also there.
