Student escapes with answer sheet, booked

BATHINDA: A student has been booked on the charge of escaping with his answer sheet from an open school examination centre.

Bathinda, March 25

A student has been booked on the charge of escaping with his answer sheet from an open school examination centre.

Action is also likely to be taken against the superintendent and teacher.

SSD School was the centre where a moral science examination was being held from 9 am to 1.15 pm last morning.

Around 1.15 pm, when the teacher on duty was collecting answer sheets from the students, Lovedeep Singh, a resident of Rai ke Kalan village, who was sitting on the first seat in third row, ran away but the teacher didn’t get to know about this.

Later, it came to light when the answer sheets were counted. After investigating the matter, it surfaced that Lovedeep Singh didn’t submit his answer sheet.

Thereafter, examination centre controller Pawan Shastri with superintendent and the teacher reached the Kotwali police station and registered their complaint.

Kotwali SHO has registered a case against Lovedeep Singh under Section 406 of the IPC. No arrest has been made so far. — TNS
