Van goes trumpeting govt achievements

To showcase the achievements of the state government, the programme ‘Ik Sham Apni Sarkar De Naal’ started in the six constituencies here today.

People from all walks of life gathered and watched the two-and-a-half-hour long programme, highlighting the achievements of the state government.

Under this programme, vans equipped with modern LED’s roamed in Mehraj, Chaowke, Jiwan Singh Wala, Balluana, Amarpura Basti and Gill Patti today.

CPS Sarup Chand Singla said the van would screen short films on various welfare schemes and the achievements of the government at various public spots. The main motive was to spread the achievements of nine year regime of the SAD-BJP government.

He said the achievements, projects and policies drafted for the welfare of the people would give public an insight into the revolutionary steps taken by the government.

The van is equipped with inbuilt GPS system with latest vehicle tracking equipment and surveillance cameras. The Directorate of Information and Public Relations will monitor the vehicle’s movement and public response at the places where these films will be screened.

A detailed programme and guidelines have been chalked out by the Public Relations Department to cover the entire state. A monitoring hub has also been established at DIPR to oversee the complete movement of the vans.
