BATHINDA: A snatching incident has been reported from Jhumba village in which three persons snatched a wallet and Rs 21,450 in cash from a man.

A snatching incident has been reported from Jhumba village in which three persons snatched a wallet and Rs 21,450 in cash from a man.

In a complaint lodged by Harpreet Sharma, a resident of Puree village, it has been stated that he was going along the canal when three unidentified persons came on motorcycle and stopped him.

He said they snatched his wallet and also took away Rs 21,450 in cash that he was carrying in his bag.

Investigating officer SI Gurcharan Singh said the victim was a finance company employee and was returning after collecting instalments. A case under Section 382 of the IPC has been registered at the Nandgarh police station. — TNS
