BATHINDA: Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda, organised an event titled ‘Synergy Youth Organisation Day’ under its digital drive.

Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda, organised an event titled ‘Synergy Youth Organisation Day’ under its digital drive. 

On this occasion, NCC cadets and NSS volunteers of the university participated in a workshop-cum-panel discussion. The objective of the event was to educate students and residents of nearby localities and villages about the cashless monetary transactions.

In the first phase, use of computer and online transaction on mobile are being taught to the students. Officials of the Central Bank of India told the students about the use of various banking mobile apps and internet banking. 

NSS coordinator Ranjeet Kaur informed the guests  about the objectives of the workshop. She briefed the guests about the action plan of the university. The NCC cadets and NSS volunteers will spread the knowledge and awareness about the digital India concept among the rural masses. Nandgarh, Dhunike, Kotguru, Bajak and Bambiha are the villages which have been adopted by the university for their development. 

Various experienced faculty members participated in the panel discussion. They highlighted various technical and social aspects of the online cashless transactions. Mohan Paul Singh Ishar, Vice-Chancellor, MRSPTU, expressed university’s commitment to the development of education and research. — TNS
