The Theka Mulazam Action Committee, Punjab, held a protest here today demanding the regularisation of the services of contractual employees.
The committee said that before the Assembly elections, Congress had promised to take a decision on regularising the services of such employees. However, there was now resentment among them as even after three months of government formation, no action had been taken on the matter. The protesters raised slogans in favour of their demands. Their demands included the regularisation of the services of contractual staff, reinstatement of Suvidha employees and withdrawal of false cases registered during the tenure of the SAD-BJP government.
