4 of immigration firms booked for fraud

ZIRAKPUR: Four persons associated with two immigration firms have been booked on a charge of fraud.

Four persons associated with two immigration firms have been booked on a charge of fraud.

The police said PS Consultancy near the main bazaar and Hindustan Visa Consultancy near Sharma Estate were not registered and the accused were “duping” youngsters on the pretext of sending them abroad.

The accused have been identified as Naveen, alias Rohit; Narinder, both residents of Chandigarh, and Mahaveer Sharma, a resident of Zirakpur. One accused is yet to be identified.

Pawan Kumar, SHO of the Zirakpur police station, said they came to know that Naveen, his friend Narinder and Mahaveer Sharma were running immigration firms in Zirakpur, which were not registered under the Emigration Act.

The police said a case had been registered and efforts were on to arrest the accused.
