CHANDIGARH: The 42nd Annual Convocation of Sri Guru Gobind Singh College, Sector 26, Chandigarh, was held on Friday where 450 degrees were conferred in various postgraduate and graduate streams of humanities, science and commerce.

Chandigarh, April 20

The 42nd Annual Convocation of Sri Guru Gobind Singh College, Sector 26, Chandigarh, was held on Friday where 450 degrees were conferred in various postgraduate and graduate streams of humanities, science and commerce.

The Padma Bhushan awardee, Dr Sardara Singh Johl, Chancellor, Central University of Punjab, Bathinda, was the chief guest on the occasion.

In his convocation address he lauded the college students for their remarkable performance in various disciplines. He stressed upon the importance of unflinching hardwork and perseverance for attainment of true success in life. Gurdev Singh Brar. President, Sikh Education Society (SES) and Kulbir Singh, Vice President SES, presided over the proceedings. Principal Jyoti Lamba presented the annual report of the college and congratulated all degree holders, wishing them a bright future ahead.
