51 achievers honoured

The Government Houses Resident Welfare Society, Sector 22 (GH22-RWS), Chandigarh, honoured the young achievers of Classes X and XII for academic excellence during a function. Over 51 achievers received mementos and certificates from the chief guest, MP Kirron Kher, in a felicitation ceremony held at Community Centre, Sector 22.

Appreciating the efforts of the Government Houses Resident Welfare Society in organising such function, Kher said along with academics, extra-curricular activities should also be given due place to ensure holistic development of personality.

Also present on the occasion were City Mayor Davesh Moudgil, area councillor Ravi Kant Sharma and Deputy Director, School Education, Saroj Mittal, principals and teachers of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 22; Government Model High School, Sector 22; MDAV School, Sector 22 and Shishu Niketan Senior Secondary School, Sector 22, and parents of the meritorious students.
