52 dogs vaccinated at camp in Kaimbwala

CHANDIGARH: The Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in coordination with the Department of Animal Husbandry, Chandigarh Administration, today organised an anti-rabies vaccination-cum-humane education camp at Kaimbwala village.

The Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in coordination with the Department of Animal Husbandry, Chandigarh Administration, today organised an anti-rabies vaccination-cum-humane education camp at Kaimbwala village.

On the occasion, Capt. Karnail Singh, PCS, Director, Animal Husbandry-cum-vice president, SPCA, revealed that in future also camps will be organised in the villages of Chandigarh in coordination with the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Chandigarh, to combat dreadful disease of rabies in animals as well as human beings. The vaccination-cum-humane education camp was organised in the presence of Dr. Kanwarjit Singh, Joint Director, Animal Husbandry and veterinary doctors of the Animal Husbandry Department.

During the camp, pamphlets were distributed and short films were shown for the awareness of residents on how to prevent animals from rabies. During the camp, 52 dogs were vaccinated.
