The killing of bouncer Amit Sharma, alias Meet, was planned and well-executed by seven assailants who had done a recee for several days before gunning down the victim.

Meet’s killing was planned and executed not only by Gagan, Meet and Ladi, but by a group of seven people.

During the questioning of prime accused and the alleged mastermind of Meet’s murder Gagandeep Singh, and co-accused Amandeep Singh, alias Mani, and Harjinder Singh, alias Ladi, by the Panchkula police, it was revealed that seven persons were involved in the murder.

Till today, the Panchkula police have arrested three accused while the remaining four—-Munish (close friend of Gagandeep and who fired the first bullet at Meet), Mani Rana (provided the licensed pistol and 10 bullets), Binder (provided shelter to Munish, Mani and Ladi) and Darbara (whose Swift car was used in the crime) are still at large.

A senior Panchkula police official said they had gathered the details of the remaining four accused. The different teams are working on leads, which they gathered after the questioning of Gagandeep, Mani and Ladi. The police are also scanning their mobile records and will soon question their friends as well, he said.

The murder occurred on May 8. Two men, both masked and riding a car, pumped bullets into Meet just as he was about to get into his car after offering prayers at Shiv Mandir, Saketeri, in the Mansa Devi Complex. The accused had earlier deflated tyres of his car.

Gagan contacted Punjabi singer/actor four times from Nabha Jail

Bajwa was also involved in the shootout between the two gangs in Mohali last year. Later, the Mohali police had arrested Bajwa, who is now out on bail. A Panchkula police official said they wanted to question Bajwa regarding the four calls exchanged between him and Gagandeep.
