Baby drowns in bucket

CHANDIGARH: An 11-month-old baby reportedly drowned at his residence in Sector 41 here on Saturday.

Chandigarh, April 21

An 11-month-old baby reportedly drowned at his residence in Sector 41 here on Saturday.

His parents were at home when the incident took place. The boy was reportedly playing before he fell in a bucket of water. The parents rushed him to hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

The deceased’s parents did not allow a post-mortem examination of the body conducted and took it to their native place in Punjab.

The baby’s father works in the office of the Accountant General, Punjab, and the family lived in the AG quarters in Sector 41.
