Body found in Zirakpur

Zirakpur, August 12

The highly decomposed body of a 50-year-old man was found in a vacant plot in Dhakoli today.

The deceased has been identified as Wazir Singh, a resident of Vasant Vihar, here. The body was spotted by one of the residents who lives nearby. 

Jagjeet Singh, in charge, Dhakoli police chowki, said they received information around 11.30 about a body being found in a vacant plot. Following this, a police team rushed to the spot. Jagjeet Singh said it seemed to be a suicide case as there were no injury marks on the body. The victim was working with the Haryana Roadways. The police said he had an argument with his wife and it seemed that he jumped off the fourth floor of his house. “The exact cause of the death will be ascertained once the autopsy report is out,” they said. — OC
