Bursting of crackers: 10 cases registered

CHANDIGARH:Ten cases were registered at different police stations of Chandigarh against unknown persons for bursting crackers.

Ten cases were registered at different police stations of Chandigarh against unknown persons for bursting crackers. 

Three cases were registered at the Sector 39 police station and two each at the police stations of Sector 34 and 36. One case each was registered at the police stations in Sector 19, 26 and Maloya. 

As per the orders of the Deputy Commissioner, crackers can only be burst on Diwali and that too between 6.30 pm and 9.30 pm.

Police officials said all police stations had been instructed to make sure that people did not burst crackers after 9.30 pm on Diwali. “Strict action will be taken against those found defying the ban," the police said.
