They demanded a ransom of Rs 5 lakh. As per the complaint, Amit was mercilessly beaten up by the accused and he fell unconscious. They recorded the entire thing and called up his wife. Amit narrated the incident to his wife and the accused went to his house and took away Rs 52,000, along with his wife’s gold chain. Later the accused dropped Amit home in a three-wheeler.
