CHASCON-2018 ends

CHANDIGARH: “The CHASCON-2018 has again proven to be significantly successful taking a prominent step ahead in showcasing the useful measures for conducting appraisals of cost-effectiveness and real benefits which energy efficiency measures can unlock and aid society”, said Prof Jagat Ram, Director, PGIMER, Chandigarh, while giving valedictory address during the 12th Chandigarh Science Congress at Panjab University (PU) today.

“The CHASCON-2018 has again proven to be significantly successful taking a prominent step ahead in showcasing the useful measures for conducting appraisals of cost-effectiveness and real benefits which energy efficiency measures can unlock and aid society”, said Prof Jagat Ram, Director, PGIMER, Chandigarh, while giving valedictory address during the 12th Chandigarh Science Congress at Panjab University (PU) today.

Praising PU Vice-Chancellor Arun Kumar Grover (V-C), the PGI Director said he had been working laboriously for the past several years to integrate the PU with other academic and research institutions and had set an example of creating an enthusiastic and innovative group by arranging and holding continuous discussions, meetings with eminent scientific leaders under his able guidance.

He urged all to promote indigenous scientific products and achieving goals of Make in India.

“I believed that we should make indigenous products cost effective and improve their quality beat global companies,” he added.

Panjab University VC Arun Kumar Grover said it was heartening to learn that a large number of participants, both faculty and students, participated in the event.
