Child falls off third floor, dies

CHANDIGARH: A three-year-old girl reported died after falling from the third floor of a house in Bapu Dham Colony, Sector 26, on Sunday.

Chandigarh, June 17

A three-year-old girl reported died after falling from the third floor of a house in Bapu Dham Colony, Sector 26, on Sunday. Sources said the victim had been identified as Urvashi.

The victim came to the balcony of the house and accidentally fell down. The victim’s mother was in the kitchen when the incident took place. The victim was rushed to the hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. The victim’s father, Gurdas, works at the PGI, Chandigarh.

The police have initiated an investigation into the matter at the Sector 26 police station.

Second such incident

This is the second such incident reported from Bapu Dham Colony this month. Earlier on June 5, a one-and-a-half-year-old boy had died after he accidentally fell from the second floor of a house.
