Sanaur MLA Harinderpal Singh Chandumajra has termed the Budget presented by the Congress government based on fake and fraudulent financial claims.

"The biggest claim of Congress leaders, the loan waiver, is also a fraud with the debt-ridden farmers of the state. It does not give any relief to deprived farmers as Rs 15,000 crore is a marginal amount before the actual of Rs 90,000 crore," Harinderpal said.

He said the Congress had assured of a complete debt waiver for farmers, whether it was from banks or from arhtiyas, before the Assembly elections, but after resuming power, it forgot all its promises.

"The Congress government is itself not clear on the issue of farmer debt and cabinet ministers are making different statements on the issue. Even days after presenting the Budget, they are not able to clear the situation on the waiver of debt," he said.

He also claimed that the abolition of Section 67A was not going to bring much relief for farmers as it was related with cooperative banks and under this Section, not even a single farmer had been arrested till date. He also challenged the government to produce the figures of farmers arrested under the said Section.

The MLA said, "Earlier the Congress has assured of government jobs, but now it has shifted the focus to entrepreneurship with comical schemes such as Hara Tractor and Yaari Enterprises." He said the government should clear the margin money of the scheme for youngsters who are going to adopt these schemes as profession.
