Cut-off higher than last year in first list

CHANDIGARH: As the tentative merit list was released today for BCom admissions in city colleges, the cut-off for general category in the UT pool is at 115.

Chandigarh, June 25

As the tentative merit list was released today for BCom admissions in city colleges, the cut-off for general category in the UT pool is at 115.586. It is higher than last year’s 114.374. As for the general pool, the cut-off for general category is 115.333.

For the evening studies department, the cut-off for general category is 114.2. Last year, it was 112.56. As many as 8,697 candidates had registered online for the BCom admissions against 2,450 seats in city colleges and the evening studies department. Last year, only 7,000 had registered, thus, the higher number of applications may also have pushed the cut-off upwards.

The candidates have one day for filing objections if any. The counselling schedule will be displayed on the PU website by June 27. First physical counselling will be from June 30 to July 3.—TNS
