Cylinder blasts: Death toll reaches 5

CHANDIGARH: Another person injured in the twin LPG cylinder blasts at Pinjore succumbed to his injuries at a private hospital here today.

Another person injured in the twin LPG cylinder blasts at Pinjore succumbed to his injuries at a private hospital here today. The deceased, Yogesh, was an employee of the Haryana Electricity Board. He is survived by his wife and three children, including two daughters.

With this, the death toll in the incident has gone up to five. Sachin Bansal and Vikas Bansal, sons of the house owner, Kishan Pal Bansal, had died at the PGI yesterday while Kishan Pal had died on Friday. Vikas Bhardwaj, a neighbour of the Bansals, who entered the house to rescue them, had died on Thursday.

Neighbours said Narinder, brother of Yogesh, had also suffered severe burn injuries in the incident and was undergoing treatment at the Panchkula Civil Hospital.

Their father had died around five years ago and Yogesh had got the job on compassionate grounds, said the neighbours. Now, the family was left with no breadwinner, they said.
