DC warns against selling adulterated products

MOHALI: Giving three days as deadline to restaurant and sweet shop owners, Deputy Commissioner Gurpreet Kaur Sapra, said the administration would take a strict action against the people involved in supply and sale of adulterated milk and adulterated products under ‘Mission Tandarust Punjab’.

Giving three days as deadline to restaurant and sweet shop owners, Deputy Commissioner Gurpreet Kaur Sapra, said the administration would take a strict action against the people involved in supply and sale of adulterated milk and adulterated products under ‘Mission Tandarust Punjab’. This was stated by Sapra while presiding over a meeting with the officials concerned on Tuesday.

The DC said the administration was starting a special drive against the people who were involved in supply and sale of adulterated milk and milk products.

While giving a warning to the sweet shop and restaurant owners, she said within three days they must ensure the proper working according to the rules and after that if any adulteration was found in products, then a strict action would be initiated including the sealing of the concerned shops and restaurants.

She further said if the owners of sweet shops and restaurants were not aware of the quality of the milk and milk products being used, then the Health Department would help them for the quality check of products.

Sapra appealed to the common people that if they get any information regarding the same then they could send an email at [email protected]. The identity of the person would not be disclosed.
