Dist attorney, daughter booked for threatening P’kula IAS officer

PANCHKULA: On a complaint of IAS officer Anita Yadav, Director-General, Women and Child Welfare Department, the police have booked a district attorney (DA) posted in the Haryana Civil Secretariat at Chandigarh and his daughter.

On a complaint of IAS officer Anita Yadav, Director-General, Women and Child Welfare Department, the police have booked a district attorney (DA) posted in the Haryana Civil Secretariat at Chandigarh and his daughter.

As per Yadav’s complaint, DA Rakesh Bahadur, posted in the Finance Department, had allegedly threatened to file a complaint under the SC/ST Commission against her. Bahadur’s daughter was posted as a research officer in Yadav’s department on contractual basis. The IAS officer had claimed that there were complaints of non-performance against the DA’s daughter.

A case under Sections 120 B, 186, 189, 353, 389 and 506 of the IPC has been registered against Bahadur and his daughter at the Sector 5 police station.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Manbir Singh said they could not comment at this stage as investigation into the case was under way.
