Panchkula, June 22

On the complaint of an NRI, the Panchkula police have lodged an FIR against three sisters of Mohali for cheating and demanding money.

Sources said an NRI, Anil Sharma, had complained to the police that he met a woman in Mohali, at his sister’s residence. Later, that woman got pregnant and alleged that the child is of the NRI.

The woman, Harjinder Kaur, delivered the child at a private clinic in Panchkula. But the NRI conducted the DNA test of the child and report proved that the NRI was not the child’s father.

Later, the NRI lodged a police complaint at the Sector 14 police station against that woman and her two sisters for cheating and demanding money from him.

On his complaint, the police lodged an FIR against Harjinder and her two sisters at the Sector 14 police station. The NRI had sent the complaint through email from Canada.
