Domestic help hangs self in Mohali

Mohali: A 23-year-old youth allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at Phase 3B1 on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Nikku, who had been working as domestic help for the past 18 years. According to the police, when Satnam Singh, owner of the house, went to wake up Nikku in the morning, the latter did not respond. The owner peeped through the window and saw him hanging from the ceiling fan. No suicide note was found from the spot. Nikku had been working at Satnam’s house since the start of 2017. —TNS
