A team of Enforcement Directorate (ED) today conducted a search at the outlet of Gitanjali Group in Central Store of VR Punjab Mall in Kharar in connection with the PNB scam. A 5-member team of the ED sleuths reached the mall at 4 pm.

Sources said the sleuths looked at the store’s accounts and records. The search continued for over three hours.

The general manager of the mall confirmed the development.

ED officials, however, did not reveal if any assets or records were seized.

Yesterday, a team of the ED had raided the outlet of Gitanjali Group in Shoppers Stop, Elante mall, Chandigarh.

Raids are being carried out at the stores of the Gitanjali group across the country in connection with the multi-crore money laundering case against billionaire jewellery designer Nirav Modi and others. The case was filed on a complaint by Punjab National Bank.
