Elderly held on rape charge

Chandigarh, April 19

A 62-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly raping a 25-year-old woman on the pretext of providing her job.

The victim was reportedly raped at a hotel in Sector 22. The accused has been identified as Bharat Bhushan, a resident of Kaithal, Haryana.

The victim complained against the accused on Wednesday night.

Acting on the complaint, the UT police have registered a case against the accused at the Sector 17 police station and initiated an investigation into the matter. The accused is yet to be arrested. — TNS
