Ajaib Singh, a farmer from Kakrala village, has alleged that the superintendent of the open agriculture jail was trying to grab his agriculture land by installing cemented pillars.
Ajaib Singh alleged that superintendent Sucha Singh had forcibly installed the pillars on his agriculture land late last night without informing him.
Interestingly, officials of the Revenue Department had claimed that they had made the identification marks on the said land.
It is pertinent to mention here that the said land falls on the boundary of two villages — Kakran and Bouran — so it was not possible to measure the land.
Revenue official Kanoongo Lal Singh said the measurement of land was done on the application of the jail authorities. He said they had measured the land from the Lal Dora side of the land of farmer Ajaib Singh and had only made temporary marks after identifying the land. He claimed that the jail superintendent was pressurising them to fix cemented pillars.
Ajaib Singh demanded that state government should take action against the officials who were not following the rules laid down by the government. He said he was already under financial stress and would not tolerate high-handedness by any officials.
Jail superintendent Sucha Singh refuted the allegations and claimed that false allegations were being leveled against him.
