Mohali: A father-son duo was booked for allegedly misbehaving with the Balongi Station House Officer (SHO) and attempting to tear down his police uniform near the PCA stadium entrance on Thursday night.

Mohali: A father-son duo was booked for allegedly misbehaving with the Balongi Station House Officer (SHO) and attempting to tear down his police uniform near the PCA stadium entrance on Thursday night.

Sources said the incident took place on Thursday night when the accused, Rupneet Singh and his father Tajinder Singh, both Mohali residents, allegedly misbehaved with Balongi SHO Bhagwant Singh, while entering the stadium during a IPL cricket match between Kings XI Punjab and Sunrisers Hyderabad. A case has been registered against the accused under Sections 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions), 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the IPC. — TNS
