At the inaugural ceremony of the annual chrysanthemum show at Terraced Garden in Sector 33 on Friday, workers of the MC horticulture wing, who worked hard to make the programme a success, were made to sit on the ground without even a mat while city MP Kirron Kher and other guests were seated on chairs. Chandigarh: A three-day chrysanthemum show began at Terraced Garden in Sector 33 today. It was inaugurated by city MP Kirron Kher. She released a brochure dedicated to the show.
- She also paid tributes at Martyr’s Pillar and also visited the Swachh Bharat stall, set up by the MC to create awareness about the Swachh Survekshan-2018 and segregation of the waste at source.
- Krishan Pal Singh, Executive Engineer of the MC’s horticulture wing, said 266 varities of fower were on display this year.
- Gardeners of the MC have made shapes of boat, camel, peacock, cow, giraffe, lion and many birds using flowers.
