The Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) is all set to launch its new housing project, Eco City III at New Chandigarh, Mullanpur, here.
The authority has already undertaken 272 acres of land for the purpose. Confirming the development, Ravi Bhagat, GMADA Chief Administrator, said, GMADA has received 272 acres of land from farmers under land pooling scheme.
“Though this is enough land to launch the scheme, we are also looking forward to get more land in and around the area. Soon the scheme of Eco City III will be launched”, said Bhagat.
The Chief Administrator also said the land owners, who have land in and around the area, could still contact GMADA to be part of the land pooling scheme.
Giving idea of ECO City III, Bhagat added that the project would be amalgamation of residential, commercial and institutional properties. Under the land pooling scheme, the land owners have been given 1,000 sq yard residential plot along with 121 sq yard commercial plot against one acre of land.
