CHANDIGARH: Gursewak won the first prize in the Pin Strike Open Bowling Tournament held here on Tuesday. Ankush followed in the second place whereas Vipul bagged the third position. The winners were later awarded with mementos.

Golf c’ship on April 2

Chandigarh: The fifth British School Juniors Golf Tournament for boys and girls will be held at the Forest Hill Golf Club, Panchkula, on April 22.  The tournament will be played in six categories --- A, B, C, D, E and F. The interested golfers can get the entry forms from the Chandigarh Golf Club, CGA Golf Range, Panchkula Golf Club and Forest Hill Golf Club. The entries should be confirmed before April 20. The top three winners in each category will be awarded. TNS

City boys clinch gold

Chandigarh: Chandigarh Ball Badminton Association won the North Zone Ball Badminton Championship at Saha, Ambala, on Monday. Chandigarh boys defeated Haryana 35-33 35-27 in the final. Earlier, in the semifs, they had registered a 35-20 35-22 win over Punjab. In the league stage, city boys beat Uttar Pradesh 35-22 35-25, while they humbled Himachal Pradesh 35-15 35-20. They beat Delhi 35-25 35-22. In the women’s category, the Chandigarh won a bronze medal. — TNS
