Chandigarh, May 18
Mukul and Aakash scored a brace each as Shri Guru Harkrishan School, Sector 38, blanked Shivalik Public School, Sector 41, 4-0 in the opening match of the 8th Saint Soldier Football Trophy here today.
Harkrishan boys took the lead in the 12th minute and then added three more goals to the tally in the 35th, 40th and 45th minute to start their campaign on a winning note.
In the second match of the day at St. Soldier International School, Gurukul School, Sector 20, Panchkula, overcame St. Peter’s School, Sector 37, Chandigarh, 2-1.
Yuvraj scored the opening goal for Gurukul School in the 10th minute and then struck again in the 35th minute to help his side to victory.
Vivek High School, Sector 38, meanwhile, registered a 3-0 win over Sacred Souls’ School, Gharuan.
Suraj (10th) and Karanveer (40th) scored a goal each to help St. Soldier, Mohali, beat AKSIPS, Sector 45, 2-0.
