Hit by train, man dies

A 27-year-old man dies after being hit by a train on the railway tracks near Amravati Enclave in Pinjore late on Friday evening.

The deceased was identified as Dhruv, a resident of the Kalka Housing Board colony. On Friday evening, his family members had called him on his phone and he had told them that he was returning home in a bus from his Mohali office. But after some time, when the former called him again, an unknown person picked up the call and told them about the mishap.

The GRP, after conducting the post-mortem examination, handed over the body to victim’s family members.
