Kharar to get bypass, says minister Channi

KHARAR:To ease traffic congestion on various roads in and around Kharar, the Punjab Government has devised a plan to construct a new bypass for Kharar.

To ease traffic congestion on various roads in and around Kharar, the Punjab Government has devised a plan to construct a new bypass for Kharar.

Giving the information here today, Kharar resident and Punjab Technical Education Minister Charanjeet Singh Channi said the bypass would start from Saneta village and would meet the Kharar-Kurali road  near Sahoran village.

He said after crossing the Landran-Chunni road, it would pass through various villages of the Kharar sub-division, which falls under his constituency.

Notably, 22 villages of the Kharar sub-division falls under the  Chamkaur Sahib constituency, 

which is represented by the minister.

Channi said to check traffic congestion in the area, he  pressed for the bypass and the state government had started preparations for the same. A survey for the proposed bypass had also been ordered.

The Punjab Technical Education Minister said after the completion of the construction work of the bypass, people of the Kharar area would get a relief from traffic jams and it would lead to the overall development of  the villages of the constituency.
