Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today congratulated Anita Kundu for completing a rare double by scaling the Mount from China side.
Anita, a police sub-inspector from Hisar, became the first Indian woman to climb the highest peak in the world from both Nepal and China sides.
The 29-year-old had on May 18, 2013 climbed the Everest from the Nepal side.
“I heartily congratulate Anita Kundu on her rare feat of doing a double of scaling the Mount Everest, both from Nepal and China sides. She has done Haryana and the nation proud. I wish her success in her future endeavours,” Khattar said in a message issued here today.
“Her accomplishment is a tribute to her grit, determination and resolve, and shall continue to serve the younger generation as a source of inspiration,” the Chief Minister added.
