Legal services authority rescues elderly man in Sector 23

CHANDIGARH: The State Legal Services Authority (SLSA) rescued an elderly man who was lying unattended in Sector 23.



Chandigarh, June 15

The State Legal Services Authority (SLSA) rescued an elderly man who was lying unattended in Sector 23.

On Wednesday, the body received information about the same and deputed two paralegal volunteers. They found the senior citizen near the e-sampark centre in the area. They got his medical done and shifted him to Prabh Asra Trust in Kurali.

On Friday, the SLSA observed World Elder Abuse Awareness Day with celebrations at the old-age home in Sector 43.

A cultural programme was presented by the interns and residents of Sector 15 and Sector 43 old-age homes also participated. — TNS
